As per the title I am looking to get the most bang for my buck with fighting in FW areas. I am wondering what the best solo frig/cruiser would be with a booster. Stipulation is that it would actually be able to get fights. I know a lot of people will just run from certain ships, or not even engage.
Also, would full snakes be viable to use in LS or has the insta-locking epidemic spread so much that pods get lost all the the time now?
Thanks in advance for any advice offered.
edit: Booster would be running a t3 with either armor/siege + info + skirmish @ t2 with faction implant. |

(It doesn't get fights, but it might easily have the highest win-loss ratio once you get one)
I am specifically looking to get fights, not just fly around and be avoided the entire time.
edit: I guess I should emphasize that winning is not entirely the objective of this. I am looking to be able to get good fights, and win when I can. |

No instalocking isnt a thing if u spam war far as pods gop. Smartbombing cruisers on gates are a thing though.
You have 8 pod kills in lowsec so far in November... I believe you are giving biased advice on the pod situation.

... says the person who has to rely on off-grid boosts to trick people into "solo" fights.
Don't be jealous that you are either unable to afford running more than one account to make a booster, or do not have enough isk to be able to purchase a booster.
I am simply using the every advantage I have available to me. |

I believe I have settled on using an Arbitrator with legion booster. Booster will be using fed navy mindlink with Passive def, electronic superiority, Evasive Maneuver, and Interdiction maneuver links (all t2).
Is the 1600 plate arbi still the go to, or is there another fit floating around right now.
I currently have:
Highs: meta 4 small and medium nos 2x small smartbomb for drones
Mids: Meta 4 scram meta 4 web 2x meta 4 tracking disruptors
Lows: 2x ENAM 1x DCU 1x DDA 1x 1600mm
Rigs: 2x Trimark 1x Tracking Diagnostic Subroutines
Slightly worried about the speed, but I figure the scram will shut down a MWD and the web will allow me to get some sort of orbit going.
Before boosts it sits at around 30k ehp and roughly 280 dps using hammerheads.
Any suggestions on improving the fit?
This is also going to be used for trial and error while I get acquainted with flying this type of setup. Will be used to transition into a Pilgrim using nearly the same fit minus some small alterations to the highs, and added prop mod or cap booster in mid. This will eventually lead into running 2x recons (possibly dual pilgrim), and possibly dropping the booster as triple boxing for PvP may not be the best idea. |
